When you use our website:
Through Google Analytics, we collect anonymous statistics about your visit, such as which of our pages you viewed. All of this information is anonymous – so we don’t know who you are; just that somebody visited our site.
If you sign up for our e-newsletter:
As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to send you relevant news emails; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.
If you make an online payment:
DMS use PayPal to process credit/debit cards and accept payment via PayPal for our shop transactions. PayPal will have access to your personal and payment information. When paying by credit or debit card, DMS never have any access to your card details.
If you sign up for a training day:
When you sign up for any of our services we will record specific personal information about you, such as your name and email address. We will also collect and store information about your use of our services so as to improve them.
In order to communicate details of the event with you, we use Mailchimp. This is used solely for the event you are attending and will not be used for marketing or content unrelated to the training. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. If you’d like to receive the Figurenotes newsletter and updates on resources and training dates, you can sign up here.
If you request to pay by invoice:
All invoices are processed internally at Drake Music Scotland, so your information is safe and secure. Invoices are sent out via post, or email if requested, using the information you give at the point of order.
You have the following rights:
– the right to ask what personal data we hold about you at any time
– the right to ask us to update and correct any out-of-date or incorrect personal data that we hold about you free of charge; and
– (as set out above) the right to opt out of any marketing communications that we may send you. You can do this by unsubscribing using the link at the bottom of our Mailchimp emails.
If you wish to exercise any of the above rights, please contact us using the contact details set out below.
